Submersible Pump Buying Guide & FAQ
π Choosing the Right Pump
1. What size pump do I need?
It depends on your water needs and the depth of your well. Consider:
- Max Head = The vertical lift (depth + elevation to your point of use).
- Flow Rate (GPM) = How much water you need per minute (typical home use: 6β12 GPM).
2. What does "Max Head" mean?
Max head is the highest point the pump can push water vertically. For example, a 180 ft head means water can be pumped up to 180 feet high.
3. What does "GPM" mean?
GPM = Gallons Per Minute. It tells you how much water the pump can deliver.
4. Do I need a 1-phase or 3-phase motor?
Most homes use single-phase (1~230V). Check your power supply before buying.
5. What diameter pump fits in my well?
Measure your well casing. Most wells are 5" or larger. Our pumps are designed to fit standard domestic wells.
6. What is continuous-duty operation?
It means the pump is designed to run continuously without overheating the motor β ideal for filling tanks, irrigation, or sustained home use.
